Born from his passion for crafting his love for wine, his yen for the unusual of wineman Peet Smith of Dagbreek, Thys has crafted this fine wine. Rare in South Africa, Tinta Amarela is Portuguese cultivar common in the Duoro Valley. It produces a rich red wine with soft tannins. Tasting has elicited comments like "herby" , "peppery" , "spicy" , "florally complex" carried in rich colour. Mostly savoured in cool to cold weather having it in a shady spot in Summer is just fine.
